Requirements:
- BSc Degree / Diploma in Mining Engineering or a related Science field
- Registered as a Rock Engineer with SANIRE
- Chamber of Mines Certificate in Strata Control and Rock Mechanics
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in Rock Engineering in the mining industry
- Experience in production environment in the mining industry
- In depth understanding of relevant safety and mining legislation including: The Mine Health and Safety Act, Minerals and Energy Act
Advantageous:
- Experience in Slope Monitoring Radars
- Management Development Program
- Good knowledge of Seriti’s Safety and Sustainable development policies, procedures and standards
- Knowledge of Seriti’s Operational and Rock Engineering Codes of Practices, policies and procedures
- Coal and Massive Open Pit certificates
